LSG Solutions was instrumental in building an Award system for the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST). Through state appropriations, OCAST funds a variety of programs to assist universities, non-profits, manufacturers and businesses performing science and technology based research. LSG designed and constructed a web-based system that allows for the administration of Intents, Applications, Project Reviews, Contracts, and Budgets. LSG implemented a solution that allowed OCAST to migrate from a legacy environment to a centralized database environment. LSG incorporated a “role based” methodology to leverage enhanced security and to allow OCAST users the ability to perform any authorized functions inside and outside of their office network. The system was built using Microsoft technology with Visual Studio 2008 and using ASP.Net and VB.Net. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) was used to access the Stored Procedures in the SQL Server database.
